JUNIOR COACHING
Schools back and so the return of junior coaching. The following sessions will run every week:
Wednesdays – 16.40–18.00
Sundays – 10.00-11.20
No need to sign up for any of the sessions, simply turn up and join in. The sessions are now open to anyone. The following costs apply:
Members – FREE
Guests - £3.00
There will be 2 fully qualified coaches present at each session so wide range of ages and abilities are welcome. From the complete beginner to the Scottish capped, we will be glad to see any body.

Members,
As you will be aware the Club is soon to introduce bar vouchers and with it, the introduction of new swipe cards. At present the swipe cards will function only in the bar to give you your 10% discount, however it is hoped that in the not to distant future this discount will also be available in the Club Shop. Also we are looking for the swipe cards to replace the existing key fobs and therefore act as the door entry system. For further safety this could be extended to the changing rooms.
Anyway the new tills are in, the software has been updated and your swipe cards are now ready to be collected from behind the bar. Ordinary members who pay by direct debit and those who have paid their renewal fees will have £50.00 credit on their card, Family members will have £50.00 on two cards (both parents) and Corporate members will have £25.00 on five cards. For all other members your cards have ZERO credit.
To put credit onto your swipe card all you simply do is hand it over at the bar, along with the amount you want on it, and it will be done for you. You may top up as much and as many times as you want. Please note you can only use the card with sufficient credit on it. Purchases made without the swipe cards will all be subject to the new bar prices, which are rising by roughly 10%.

I am very pleased to announce we have a new website which has just gone live today. The address is still the same (www.asrc.co.uk) however hopefully you will agree that it is much improved.
Over the next week or so new photos will be uploaded onto the site to replace what is currently on it. Therefore if you see me walking about taking random snaps do not be alarmed.
Of particular interest to all is the HOME page which now acts as the NEWS & EVENTS page. You will find a calander on it which will keep you up to date with all happenings in the Club. This will make it easier for you to pen our events into your diary well in advance.

Draws now available and can be found on the main notice board at reception.
Some matches have to be played fairly soon so do not hang about.
For consistency I have decided to make the scoring the same for ALL events. The scoring system is PAR (point a rally) to 11, best of 5 games. At 10-10 in a game a player must win by 2 clear points to win.
All finals to be played on Sat 13th December. |
